Italian Translation Into English - Days & Months

I have an ongoing interest in Italian and Italian life in general. I hope this article Italian Translation into English - Days & Months' will help those trying to learn the Italian language. If these articles prove of interest then I will continue writing a whole series on these subjects.

English / Italian Translation of the Months of the Year

gennaio -- January

febbraio -- February

marzo -- March

aprile -- April

maggio -- May

giugno -- June

luglio -- July

agosto -- August

settembre -- September

ottobre -- October

novembre -- November

dicembre -- December

Unlike the English translation, in Italian the names for days of the week are not capitalised.

Here is an Italian English Translation of some other useful phrases;

Che mese è? - What month is it?

In che mese siamo? - What month are we in?

È dicembre - Its December

Siamo in dicembre - We are in December

Italian / English Translation of the Days of the Week

lunedì -- Monday

martedì -- Tuesday

mercoledì -- Wednesday

giovedì -- Thursday

venerdì -- Friday

sabato -- Saturday

domenica -- Sunday

Again, unlike the English translation, in Italian the names for days of the week are not capitalised. So the translation is not only the letters but also the capitalisation.

Here is an Italian Translation of some other useful phrases;

oggi - today

domani - tomorrow

Oggi è martedì - Today is Tuesday

Domani è giovedi - Tomorrow is Thursday

For me there is another side to this translation. Mondays in England v Mondays in Italy.
Generally an English Monday is rainy and depressing. But lets translate that to an Italian Monday. Sure you still have the daily commute. But it's much more likely to be a sunny day (even in winter). So even though you might wish you were still at the beach or skiing down a mountain, you feel much more happy. Especially as you stop for a coffee and take the time to talk Italian with strangers before starting work.

Pimsleur English for Italian.

Whether it is for English literature or as an attempt to advance your career, learning English is a major goal by some Italians who would like to expand their knowledge or further their personal development.

It's true that Italian is quite an influential language. It wouldn't be chosen by powerful international organizations as an official language if it is not. You might be surprised to find out that the official language in the Vatican is Italian. After all, what can you expect from the country where the Renaissance started? A lot but still these speakers of the Romance language are still meant to learn English, given that they will be limited to fewer opportunities in all fields if they don't.

There are major reasons why everyone not just Italians should learn English. It is said that about 1,500,000,000 people in the world speak English. That practically means that anywhere you go, you are more likely to meet a person who can speak English. So if you love to travel and you go to places that don't even know your lingua franca, there's a good chance that the people there can speak English and you will most likely have a more productive and enjoyable trip.

If you love the online life, and you spend hours looking for profitable niches where you can earn much, and you don't speak or know English then you will be limited to sites that are written in Italian and that only constitutes a very small population compared to what you can access, download, read, listen to, or even watch in English. Indeed, it is a universal language and the greatest proof of it is the Internet where over a billion pages of information are written in English.

English is also a lingua franca of many countries. It is the language used in international transactions. In some countries, English is used in formal business transactions. That is why you don't wonder why countries that speak the language well are known as outsourcing hubs by major countries. When you have an international audience, have customers all over the world, and are in need of workers for fewer cost, you better look for people who can speak good English, work well without supervision, and would accept a modest pay. It's not hard to do when you know English yourself.

But business is not all there is to English. Many post cards, magazines, books, and other publications are written in English. 95% of scientific publications are written in English. So go ahead, Mr. Italian, learn the language now. And there's no better way to do it than to listen to a Pimsleur language learning audio all the time on your iPhone. Don't worry nobody's minding how fast or how slow you are in learning it. That's the beauty of Pimsleur. You are given the freedom to enjoy the language as you learn it at your own pace, anytime and anywhere you want. Get a copy now from The Talking Bookstore.

English Grammar for Students of Italian: The Study Guide for Those Learning Italian

English Grammar for Students of Italian: The Study Guide for Those Learning Italian Review

I purchased this book after changing my adress with amazon. they sent it to my old adress anyways, and then it was returned to amazon without them contacting me or anything. The person I spoke with on the phone was horribly rude.
Then, I purchased several items, including the book, because I still needed it. The next day, I found the book at barnes and nobles, and hurridly took it off of my Amazon order, which I could do because it was not going to ship for a MONTH. Then the order arrived, WITH THE BOOK. So now, how many times have I paid for this damn book?

The book its self is great! My Professoressa reccomended it, and so do I!

Italian to English Travel and Cultural Translations - Why You Need a Native Speaker

Many people assume that the translation is easy as long as you have a fairly decent knowledge of a language. It is tempting to ask a friend of a friend who can translate your website - because they once lived in England for a year did not they? How hard can it be? This can be a costly mistake.

Presumably, if you wrote the text for your website and product there was a lot of thought. They probably have quite a long time to decide to use the phrases, how to write somethingcapture the imagination of the people and would read what you write whether or not to bring to verify your suggestions in a positive light. Imagine for a moment how your efforts could be spoiled by grammatical errors or spelling mistakes.

I am fluent in Italian, but I would not feel truly confident translation from English into Italian, because it is not my native language. Especially in the areas of travel and tourism, there are many great sites that are rented out translation is by the quality of Italian English. Companies spend hundreds of pounds on marketing still sometimes like to have English text on their website that is full of grammatical errors and misspellings.

So, the quality of the English translation issues. Source of a good translator, preferably with prior knowledge are in the industry you are, and for a relatively small cost you can raise your profile in the UK or the U.S. only by improving yourTo Italian to English translation. If you do not believe me, ask a native English speaker, (not to read your text to a translator - someone independent) and give their opinion. The results may surprise you ...

Strategies to Learn English - Part 1

In the present world scenario, in most places, the people have been using English (United States, Britain, Australia, etc.) for business communication. There are a few pockets in this world where English is not spoken. But the majority of people in the world, speak, read and write English and use them to their business needs, abilities, and further requirements. People from non-native English speaking countries need to learn this language separately as a second language, whereas the native speakers, whose native language is English, not just speak it fluently since childhood, but they also in their day to day interactions.

Strategy 1: saving an English word with the appropriate language word by rote.

This is normally followed by most people in learning English in the early stages. People who make good memory will benefit from this type of memorization. The ultimate performance in> A language is to learn them on a regular day-to-day. So, people who need this strategy to good to focus like the words, they learn from time to time in their normal lives.

Strategy 2: Understanding and memorizing English word and its meaning, all in English only.

People with this strategy one step ahead of those that requires memorizing English word with its associated language word by rote. This strategy Peoplebetter understand English and have at the same time, power and good memory retention skills.

Strategy 3: Understanding, memorizing English word and you make your own record with the same word.

This strategy is for those people who are able to understand and English are also able to construct grammatically correct sentences with a few words. Ideally speaking, this kind of learning increases the retention capacity of the mind, because according to this strategy, the persontries, the word associated with a known link, also in English.

Strategy 4: Memorizing English words only by following a blind logic (eg: creating a list of words by following logic like starting each word with the ending letter of his last word)

Normally you can see such a strategy in English-learning books, magazines, etc. This happens again on rote-learning strategy. One way he is able to memorize a few words. While the memory of theWords, one can also learn meanings for each word.

Strategy 5: Study the root of the word and associated words and memorized by the same in sentences and also by examining

This is also an advanced strategy. There are few good English-learning books are available, which had followed this strategy. Readers of these books need to understand the root of the word for a certain group of words, by understanding the logic, not only you can remember easily, a few groups ofWords within a short span of time, but also learn meanings associated with them.

Strategy 6: Do you collect fine phrases to check your readings, and the day-to-day life

This is a different kind of advanced strategy, people can understand, speak and write an average level of English language, this may follow too. This strategy involves a lot of reading what you read and whenever you come across beautiful phrase is a sequence (containing two or more words that are not subject, verb, etc, but also functions as a unit in a sentence) Write to them, try to understand the meaning, and often in their respective contexts wherever possible.

To record Strategy 7: Collecting and new words, wherever and whenever you come upon them.

This is a useful strategy for anyone who wants to improve their English vocabulary. This strategy involves a lot of reading, where and when a new word appears, jot it down to pursue its meaning in the dictionary, and use it in your day to dayInteraction.
