The Welsh Language

The Welsh language is a Celtic Indo-European language (part of Brythonic branch) has been closely related to Cornish and Breton, that all has been used since the sixth century. It is believed that it first spoken on the steppes of Central Asia. It is spoken in Wales and some border counties in England. It is also spoken by a European settlement of the Chubut Valley in Argentina. make Despite the introduction of the Welsh Language Act in 1993, equal to Welsh English, the Welsh Languageis not as widely spoken as a first language. The law provides for equal rights, such as English and a right to speak on all those Welsh authorities in the courts and other proceedings. The Welsh Language Board - a part of the Welsh Language Act is replaced by the significant amount of state funds for the Welsh language to promote especially among young people.

Interestingly, the first minister of Wales, an unnecessary line by indicating the abolition of which was still no action has been taken. Although the use ofthe language has declined, but its use was revived and Welsh is in some parts of Wales at full strength used in particular certain pockets of North Wales. Road signs are in English and Welsh, compulsory teaching in schools in Wales (14 years) and the classification of Welsh as a minority language by the "European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages" has prevented some of his rapid decline. Introduction of Welsh TV (S4C) and Radio Radio Cymru is in addition theirGrowth.
